I’m Ana, the chef and founder of Ana’s Kusina. Born in Cebu City, Philippines, and raised in Cornwall from the age of ten, my food is a true reflection of my heritage: proudly half Filipina and half Cornish.
My culinary journey began over 13 years ago in Bristol, where I honed my skills and deepened my love for Asian cuisine. During the pandemic, I returned home to Wadebridge and began working as a private chef. This led me to take a leap and open a café in a new business park, a space that allowed me to share my food with the public for the first time.
While the café was a success, I soon realised that my heart was in creating more intimate, bespoke food experiences. I now focus on private catering, pop-up events, cookery classes, and my growing product range including Cornish handmade dumplings and handcrafted chilli oils, sold in local farm shops and online.
My food is rooted in Southeast and East Asian flavours, cooked with care using quality Cornish produce. I’m especially passionate about Filipino cuisine a love born from the lack of Asian food in Cornwall during my childhood, and the desire to bring those bold, comforting flavours to the place I’ve always called home.
From cookery classes and pop-up nights at my unit in Clearspace, to sharing my favourite recipes and ingredients with others, I’m on a mission to showcase the diversity and richness of Asian food in a modern, accessible way from my kitchen to yours.
Check out the website to see upcoming cookery classes and pop-up events. I’d love to welcome you to my kitchen soon.
Big love Ana.
